In a small saucepan on low heat, warm the maple syrup - not too hot or the cranberries will pop.

Meanwhile, rinse the cranberries in a colander and remove any stems or mushy, discolored cranberries. Place the cranberries in a heat safe bowl.

Once the maple syrup is warm, remove from heat and pour over the cranberries, tossing until thoroughly coated. Cover and chill overnight in the fridge.

The next day, strain and reserve the excess maple syrup for another use (we recommend our Frosted Maple Margarita Punch).

Put granulated sugar in a small bowl and toss the cranberries in the sugar, a few at a time. Place on a cooling rack to dry, then store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes:

Try using these as a garnish on baked brie or camembert or adding to a cheeseboard! These sugared cranberries add a festive touch.
